山と海 – Mountains and Seas
Long ago, there were no boundaries between the human body and the earth.
Mountains were bones, rivers were veins, islands were the soul’s resting grounds.
The Nine-Tailed Fox leapt gracefully through the peaks, her tail-feathers slicing the morning mist.
The Sea God slumbered deep in the blue, as waves surged with ancient chants.
Queen Mother of the West was still a forest sorceress, listening to sky-whispers beneath the moonlight, living with beasts and spirits.
Giants chased the sun, headless warriors swung their blades unceasingly, and wizards sang spells to forge stones and mend the heavens.
In those days, humans, gods, and beasts still shared the same world.
Trees reached out toward the sky, and the earth pulsed with a burning heart.
Every mountain and river had a voice; every star and drop of dew held the memory of life.
On the edge of a cloud, at the shimmering water’s edge,
a traveler picks up a shard of ancient pottery carved with the totem of a mythic beast.
As fingers trace the clay’s warmth, the wind begins to murmur.
Something stirs.
An ancient spirit whispers:
“Come home. This is your mountain, your sea—your body, the place where your soul belongs.”
