山と海 – Mountains and Seas
Long ago, there were no boundaries between the human body and the earth.
Mountains were bones, rivers were veins, and islands were resting places for the soul.
The Nine-Tailed Fox darted across the peaks, her tail-feathers slicing the morning mist.
The Sea God slumbered in the deep blue, waves singing ancient hymns.
Queen Mother of the West was still a moonlit forest princess, listening to the sky’s whispers, living among beasts and spirits.
Giants chased the sun, headless warriors swung their blades, and wizards chanted spells to forge stones and mend the heavens.
In that world, gods, beasts, and humans shared the same realm.
Trees reached skyward, the land pulsed with a burning heart.
Every mountain and river had its voice; every star and drop of dew carried the memory of life.
At the place where clouds rise and light shimmers on water,
a traveler lifts a shard of pottery etched with the image of an ancient beast.
He runs his fingers across its surface, feeling the warmth of the earth.
The wind murmurs softly—something begins to awaken.
An ancient spirit whispers:
“Come home. This is your mountain, your sea—your body, your soul’s return.”
