Taiwanese Jin Xuan (TTES No. 12) is widely loved for its signature smooth, milky aroma. This particular selection showcases a perfectly balanced process of fermentation, rolling, and light roasting, which adds a subtle bean-like fragrance to its dry leaves.
Once brewed, the tea releases a vivid floral bouquet. The first sip is silky and effortlessly brings out a gentle sweetness that is exceptionally clean and bright. What’s surprising is that, despite its clarity, the tea also carries a rich and full-bodied texture. The deep green leaves unfold in the golden liquor, revealing ruby-tinted edges. With each sip, the familiar milky notes of Jin Xuan and a touch of osmanthus-like fragrance unfold beautifully—truly a captivating experience.

Jin Xuan, also known as "27-zai" or Taiwan Tea No. 12, is a cultivar developed by the Taiwan Tea Research and Extension Station in the 1980s. Its leaves are thick, tender, and glossy green, and the variety is widely cultivated and highly versatile. Suitable for making Baozhong, Oolong, Oriental Beauty, and honey-scented black teas, Jin Xuan produces a tea liquor that is both smooth and creamy, often infused with floral and milky notes.
Thanks to its mellow character, Jin Xuan has become especially popular among women and younger tea drinkers. In recent years, it has also become a must-have souvenir for international visitors to Taiwan.
