山と海 – Mountains and Seas
Long ago, there were no boundaries between the human body and the land.
Mountains were bones, rivers were veins, and islands were the resting places of souls.
The Nine-Tailed Fox darted through mountains, tail-feathers slicing the mist.
The Sea God slumbered in the deep, as waves echoed ancient hymns.
Queen Mother of the West was still a moonlit forest sorceress, listening to sky-whispers, living with beasts and spirits.
Giants chased the sun, headless warriors wielded their blades, and wizards sang incantations to forge stones that patched the sky.
In those ancient times, gods, beasts, and humans shared a single world.
Trees stretched skyward, the earth beat with a fiery heart.
Each mountain and river had a voice.
Every star and droplet of dew held the memory of life.
At the place where clouds rise and waves shimmer,
a traveler finds a shard of ancient pottery engraved with the image of a divine beast.
He touches the warm clay. The wind whispers—
something is awakening.
An ancient spirit speaks:
“Come home. This is your mountain, your sea—your body, your soul’s return.”
